Stranger Things Soundtrack

My wife and I binged Stranger Things on Netflix, now we’re waiting for the next season to drop. Last night I was doing some stuff around the place and had the Stranger Things soundtrack going in the background. Good stuff. It’s a nod to the more melodic synth stylings from the 80s, like the John Carpenter stuff but with more of a fantasy element.

The soundtrack was composed by Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon of the heavy experimental synth band S U R V I V E. [Extracting head from sand] How have I not heard of these guys? I’ll be checking out their work as soon as I’m done posting this. More on that in a later write-up.

If you’re into the 80s horror and fantasy stuff this is a decent soundtrack to put on.
